YARROW
Achillea millefolium
Yarrow is a long-stemmed member of the sunflower family, found in the wild throughout the temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere.
It is easily recognised by it’s incredibly segmented leaves and the clusters of daisy-like, white or lavender flowers at the top of the stalk.
This perenial herb is well known in Europe and it Is similar to chamomile in the fact that it contains azulene, a chemical that plays a major factor in soothing skin irritation.
Yarrow is an incredible wound healer and a powerful salve can be made from the flowers and the essential oil.
