VETIVER
Vetiveria zizanoides
Vetiver is a tropical grass of the Poaceae family, native to India.
The oil of vetiver is extracted from the roots while the upper part of the plant makes useful animal feed – in India it is also used to make window blinds.
Vetiver is distinctive due to it’s soft, smoky, slightly woody aroma and is also used in aromatherapy for its stimulating and tonic properties.
This oil also has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties so it is excellent if you develop any cuts or grazes.
This enables it to help heal wounds faster by promoting new cell growth and also by keeping it safe from infections.
