This herbaceous perennial flowering plant is native to Europe, Asia, northern Africa and western North America.
They’re, more often than not, known for the pain they cause but they are nore than just needled irritants!
Here in Cornwall, we make a delicious cheese with them, the Nepalese make curries and some people even use them for clothing!
However, we’re more interested in what they do as an extract, or in our case maceration.
In this form, nettle has soothing anti-inflammatory and anti-allergenic properties.
